Welcome to the Inland NSW Capital Country region. This region is home to Canberra; the capital city of Australia. You will discover that there is much to do and see in this region including historic towns, gold rush history, amazing scenery, lush farming land, caves, national parks, abundance of outdoors activities, trout fishing, farmers markets, many cool climate wineries, gourmet food shops and delicious fresh local produce. The farming in this region includes beef, dairy, truffles, grapes/wine, stone orchards and cherries. The picturesque Young area just north of Canberra is known as the Cherry capital of Australia and harvest is in full swing from Spring to Summer. You can follow the Poachers Way tasting trail to indulge in some of the great produce and over 30 wine cellar doors in the countryside just north of Canberra. This region hosts the annual Truffle Festival, Canberra District Wind Harvest festival and Murrumbateman Moving Feast.
