Inland NSW New England
Welcome to the beautiful Inland NSW New England region. This region is jam packed full of things to see and do. This region is known for gem fossicking, scenic drives, farmers markets, camping, bushwalking, fishing, rodeos, picturesque heritage towns, national parks, cool climate wineries, some of the finest grazing lands in Australia, gold rush history and very big festivals. Visit a cellar door or buy local cheese in the town of Uralla which also hosts the annual Seasons of New England Festival. The pretty town of Walcha hosts the monthly Walcha Farmers Market; a yummy way to sample the region’s local produce and is surrounded by prime lamb/merino wool farmland. Throughout summer you will be amazed by the rich yellow colour of all the Sunflower fields around the town of Quirindi. Why not go looking for Koalas in Gunnedah or attend its annual Commonwealth Bank AgQuip festival which is Australia’s largest and premier primary industry field day. The Moree and Narrabri areas grow pecans, cotton, vineyards, lamb and beef. Why not go on a tour of the largest Pecan farm in the Southern Hemisphere when you are in this area or visit the annual Moree on a Plate Food and Wine Festival. How could you pass up visiting Tamworth in January for its world famous Tamworth Country Music Festival.
